Welcome To Phoenix Rising Counselling & Mental Health & Life Coaching
Phoenix Rising Life Coaching, BPD/NPD - BPD/NPD/ASPD Loved Ones - Codependency Coaching and Mental Health Coaching with A.J. Mahari. A.J. Mahari has been coaching since 1995. She combines her own first-hand life experience, formal eduation and knowledge with her years of experience coaching thousands of people. Mahari also knows the painful reality of being the family of origin scapegoat of a Narcissistic/Borderline Mother and Father with relatives in that family also with Anti Social Personality Disorder (ASPD) - sociopathic or psychopathic. A.J. has been the child and adult-child of these types of toxic mentally ill parents and relatives along with their substance abuse and scapegoating her while choosing her "brother" three years her junior to be the family of origin "Golden Child" despite his failure to succeed at much in his life.
I have been working with clients and loved ones of those with BPD/NPD and/or ASPD for 20 years. Life taught me a lot in very painful ways. Recovery taught me even more in healing ways. Working with thousands of clients over the last 20 years, those with one or more personality disorders and loved ones and family members of the personality disordered, A.J. Mahari, has gained even more insight into their presenting patterns and loved ones devastation. A.J. can help you put the puzzle pieces together so that you can heal, recover, and move on with your life and not be tied to the pain of another who has or still abusing you. If you are the parent of someone with BPD, NPD, ASPD, or a combination of two or more, and you have had no success yet in helping your loved one, A.J. works with the most difficult (people in a lot of pain whose defense mechanisms are blocking their awareness of how they treat others and why they are in so much pain (felt or not) and how to change from the devastating lostness and pain they live with due to a lost self, into people who can (in many instances) reclaim that lost self and heal and live amazing and healthy lives.
AJ's Life Coaching
A large part of Life Coaching is supporting each client on his or her own sacred journey of empowerment, understanding, increasing awareness, self-improvement and/or recovery.
Self-improvement, personal growth, and/or healing and recovery work are all processes that unfold somewhat differently for each client. Personal growth is not a straight line. It is not a desination but is rather an on-going journey. Coaching is a process that supports your self help efforts as well.
Strategy in the process of Life Coaching is very important. You can read more about my coaching stategy by reading the How I Work page.

Coaching Can Help You
Whether you have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, believe you have a lot of the traits, struggle in relationships, are a loved one of someone with BPD, A.J. Mahari can help you to understand the how, why, and what of the relational interplay and dynamics, often codependent, enmeshed, toxic dynamics that unfold in many relationships for and with those with BPD, NPD, both, or the combination of someone with strong BPD traits and, in a significant other relationship, someone with strong narcissistic traits.
A.J. Mahari has a full-circle 360 degree understanding of BPD. She had BPD, recovered 15 years ago. She was the child of two parents with BPD (father with BPD/NPD). She remains the adult child of a BPD mother. She had a relationship, years after her recovery, with someone with BPD/NPD. She has recovered from all these BPD and BPD-related relationships and experiences in her life. She can help you to recover, to heal, and to find your way to what you need to understand and where you need to be in your life. She can help you to identify goals, learn how to set effective boundaries, deal with loss of a relationship that lacks closure and clarity. She can help you to understand what all this can actually teach you and how whether you have BPD or are a BPD loved one you can come out the other side stronger, wiser, healthier, and moving forward in your life.
